Haller Lake Real Estate
Haller Lake Real Estate
The lake is located between N. 128th Street to the North, N. 122nd Street to the South, Densmore Avenue N. to the West, and Corliss Avenue N. to the East. The lake covers 15 acres and its shoreline private with the exception of two public entrances; one at Meridian Avenue N. on the north shore and N. 125th Street (see photo to right) on the west. The lake is good for car top boats as they will need to be hand launched and fishing!
True Sense of Community
There is a true sense of community here! The Haller Lake Community Club (established in 1921) houses various committees who keep abreast and if necessary, are activists for the neighborhood against issues affecting Seattle’s Northend communities. The committees range from land use and NW District Council to Garden Club and Community Service. In addition, the Community Club is also home to the Creative Dance Center, Puget Sound Theatre Organ Society and Northwest Fly Anglers club. The club is the heart of this community and exists solely to benefit its neighbors.
While Haller Lake is mostly a residential neighborhood, it has plenty to offer either in or just outside its boundaries! Of course you have the lake but you also have North Acres Park (located at 12718 1st Ave. NE) which completed a face lift to its play area in early 2012. With the City of Seattle's Parks and Green Spaces Levy Project, they converted a kids wading pool to a new spray park (see photos here), provided new play equipment and overall site improvements to enhance use and safety and access improvements to facilitate use by all users. Some of the other parks features are an Off-Leash Dog Park, Picnic Sites, Soccer and Baseball/Softball fields. Other amenities that are either in Haller Lake or within a mile are Northwest Hospital, Helene Madison Pool, Jackson Park Golf Course, Northgate Mall, and Regal IMAX Cinemas at Thornton Place.
Haller Lake is serviced by the Seattle Public School District. The Public schools servicing the area are Northgate Elementary, Whitman Middle School, and Ingraham High School. Nearby Community Colleges are Shoreline Community College and North Seattle Community College and the University of Washington is less than 5 miles to the South.
If private/independent schools are your preference then Haller Lake is the place to be. The neighborhood is home to prestigious Lakeside School. Lakeside services grades 5-12 and sends 100% of its graduating class to four-year colleges. A couple of Lakesides famous alumni are Bill Gates and Paul Allen. You will also find The Evergreen School located just across the Haller Lake/Shoreline border at 147th & Meridian. The Evergreen School’s focus is on highly capable students from preschool to eighth grade. For a complete list of nearby private / independent schools visit, the Washington Federation of Independent Schools website.
