The City of Shoreline and Snohomish County reached an agreement on March 31st, 2011 to address the concern that the surrounding cities did not have any control over the design or scope of the Point Wells development and its impacts.
The agreement was reached after a bill was introduced by Ruth Kagi (D – Lake Forest Park) to ensure that Snohomish County, the City of Shoreline, and the Town of Woodway work cooperatively on the mitigation of the Point Wells development and its impacts. The agreement between the cities and the county mean that a legislative solution is not needed for now.
Represenative Kagi will continue to monitor the agreement closely to assure that the cities most impacted are being included in the definition and mitigation of Point Wells project.
